Open Call: First Fridays In Downtown Chambersburg

Deadline:  By the preceding Friday
More Info: 717-267-1396, 717-816-7568 or ahf53@comcast.net
Entry Form: Download

We would like to invite you to participate in First Fridays presented by the Downtown Business Council and Council for the Arts of Chambersburg. These events are designed to highlight the arts and are a celebration of what we have to offer as artists to our community and friends. Artists are offered a free space up to 10' x 4' to set up their art: along the sidewalk, with a rain site, May-Sept.; inside, Oct.-Dec. There is no set-up fee, or commission on sales. The event will run from 5 pm 'til 8 pm and tear down should be completed by 8:30 pm. This is a family event; therefore be considerate of this when
choosing your items for display. Remember this is an ideal time to market yourself. Have flyers, business cards, artists statements ready to hand out. It's also a good idea to have items of smaller value such as cards and miniatures, for sale at your booth.

Please respond soon, but by the preceding Friday at the latest if you would like to participate. You will be assigned a location in the week prior to the event. Please return a copy of this flyer to: Anne Finucane, Council for the Arts, 159 S. Main Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201, by the preceding Friday.

Open Call: 2nd Annual "Bra-Dazzled"

Who: All Artists
Deadline:  August 31, 2010
More Info: hlay123@comcast.net or 717-263-8529

We are holding our second annual “Bra-Dazzled” event to benefit breast cancer awareness.
In this event we will be creating bras of unique style, statements, and attitude. The event
is designed to create something inspiring and new from an existing bra (try a 36 C) or
create a bra of your own. We are looking for inspiring, unique, uplifting ideas!

Your creation will be donated to the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance (CVBCA). For the month of September your “Bra-Dazzled” creation will be on display at Here’s Looking at You and on Sunday, the 26th, your creation will move to The Orchards Restaurant where it will be displayed during the CVBCA annual fund raiser. Then back to the windows of Here’s
Looking at You until the end of October. We will have people vote on their favorites with
dollar donations. The winning bra’s artist will receive half of the votes collected and all
other funds raised will be given to the CVBCA and used in the community and surrounding
areas.
